Located Out of Town?
Not a problem. Visit our ONLINE INTERFACE that allows you to fully build a shirt for yourself from start to finish. Browse and select fabrics, customize the design, and finish off with inputting your measurements. There are detailed instructions with visuals included on how to measure yourself. If you don’t feel confident taking your own measurements or would like a second opinion, we recommend that you take our MEASUREMENT GUIDE to your favorite tailor. If you don’t already have one, we would be happy to recommend one close to you in your locale. You know what they say, “measure twice, cut once.”
Taking Care of Your Custom Shirts
Properly caring for all of your custom garments can drastically increase the life of your custom suit or shirt.
Shirts
When it comes to shirts, we recommend machine washing them on cold and hanging them to dry. Once dry, iron your shirt on the proper cotton or linen setting. (There will be a tag on the inside of the left side seam that indicates your shirt’s fiber makeup.)
Dry Cleaning
Many dry cleaners use harsh chemicals that will cause the natural fibers of your shirt to wear out over time. The same is true of other treatments like starch, so if you prefer to use it, use starch sparingly.
We understand that dry cleaning is a much more convenient method to launder your clothes, but you may want to consider home care for your clothing as an alternative to dry cleaning.
Dry Cleaning Alternatives in Nashville and Beyond – Green Earth Dry Cleaners: There are many chemical-free dry cleaners across the country. Try searching for “chemical-free dry cleaners near me” or drop us a line and we would be happy to help with a recommendation.
Oakwood Cleaners – With two locations in Nashville and home delivery service, Oakwood Cleaners is by far the best in the Middle Tennessee area. They utilize the Green Earth technology that uses natural elements to clean and remove stains from clothing eliminating the use of harsh chemicals and reducing water usage.
